Sheriff
Sheriff of Police (SoP) is the highest-ranking officer in the Sheriff Department. As the Sheriff Executive Officer of the Sheriff Department, the SoSA is responsible for the planning, efficient administration, and operation of the Police Department. In this capacity, the SoSA directs, plans, and coordinates the enforcement of particular areas of crime, and aims to minimize crime risks across the entire city, to protect persons and property and for the preservation of the peace of the community.
Assistant Sheriff
Assistant Sheriff of Police / ASoP ( )
The Assistant Chief of Police (ACoP) keeps the Chief of Police informed of all operational activities on a day-to-day basis. The Assistant Chief directs the activities of either the administrative or operational side of the Police Department.

Deputy Sheriff
Deputy Sheriff of Police / DSoP ( )
The Deputy Sheriff of Police (DSoP) is assigned a designated bureau to which they have complete control of for efficient management and control. A Deputy Chief of Police is the third highest rank within the Police Department.
Commander
Police Commander / Cmdr ( )
A role similar to an Assistant General Manager or Vice President of a corporation, a Commander is the fourth highest rank in the Sheriff Department and reports directly to their designated Deputy Sheriff of Police. They are assigned as a Director of a Team and Program to which it is their responsibility to manage, operate and control.
• Sheriff Captain / Cpt ( )
Upon completion of 3 months as a Lieutenant, one can advance to Captain. A Captain, resembling a District Manager of a large corporation, has a choice of roles alongside his or her general departmental administration, which may include serving as the Commanding Officer of a Division. A Captain is responsible for inspecting and overseeing the functions of the patrol officers to ensure compliance with the Department policies, procedures, regulations, and standards; supervising the administrative and support functions personnel; inspecting personnel, facilities, and tactics for safety and/or training needs; maintaining liaison with numerous municipal, governments, civic organizations, and private citizens to establish and maintain rapport to facilitate Department functions and to promote neighborhood safety and community policing programs.

After serving two months as a Senior Sergeant one is eligible to apply for the Command Program, including an application, examination, interview and training. If a Senior Sergeant is promoted to Lieutenant , they have passed through most of the Command Program and their final training is now underway.

After serving two months as a Senior Sergeant one becomes eligible to be promoted to Staff Sergeant . A Staff Sergeant position is a supervisory position with specialized and administrative assignments.

• Sheriff Corporal
The rank of sheriff corporal is correlational to the rank of corporal in the armed forces, typically ranking immediately above officer and immediately below sergeant.The position is also referred to by some agencies as Agent.

The second step in the career ladder with the San Andreas Sheriff's Department (SASD) is Sheriff Officer . It is the classification given to all SASD officers upon finishing their Cadet Status.
• Cadet / CA
The first step in the career ladder with the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is Cadet. It is the entry-level classification given to all LSPD officers upon compleating the Police Academy. For two weeks in the Police Ride Along Program, officers are shown human interaction, and report writing. .

These are the vehicles used by the San Andreas Sheriff's Department:
LVPD Cruiser: This is the default cruiser, used by all ranks.

SFPD Cruiser: This is used by Captain and Sheriff (Rank 5+)

Police Ranger: Secondary vehicle, used for off road pursuits and crimes. Useable by all ranks.

Weapons

These are the weapons we use in the SASD.
Desert Eagle - This is your main sidearm, used by all ranks.
Shotgun - This is the secondary weapon we use, it is used only in situations such as raids or if the person you're in a shootout with is using a larger weapon, basically whenever your sidearm won't cut it, this is used. Used by all ranks
MP5 - This sub-machine gun is used for car chases, and also for gunfights with people using automatic weapons. Only rank 3+ can use it.
M4 - This assault rifle is used by ranks 4+, for raids, or against people using automatic weapons.
Sniper Rifle - This sniper rifle can accurately shoot up to a mile. It is used for hostage situations, or other SORT related situations. It is used by SORT trained snipers, and rank 5+.
Smoke Grenade - This releases smoke, which fills the room and distracts and will make the suspects unable to see clearly through the smoke. Used by SORT or rank 5+
Mace - This is used for when you have uncooperative suspects nearby. Used by all ranks
Nite Stick - This is optional, and used for situations where you're in a fight with a suspect. Used by all ranks.
Tazer - This is used when suspects are uncooperative. This is used to control the suspect from a distance. Used by all ranks.
If anybody uses the incorrect weapons for incorrect situations/ranks, you will receive a strike.
Division Structure:
Sheriff
The Sheriff's Badge is a generally more powerful version of the Deputy's Badge. It swaps shotgun buffs for pistol buffs, increases Maximum Health and an extra 5% to the Fight For Your Life time. However, it is most effective when only one party member is wearing a Sheriff's Badge as both Badges only receive the stacking bonus from other characters who are wearing a Deputy's Badge.

S.W.A.T
They look awesome and cool, but be afraid from them because they meant for something if they exist near to your location. They are no Police Officer anymore but they considered theirselves as Mercenaries.

Arrest most wanted persons(6 Stars).
Executioner(Strict Law).

They are the one who investigate every crime scene, they analyze the situation, they examines every piece of things even junk just to solve the crime. Usually, their instinct are broad which can imagine how the scene happened. Sometimes, they're like a Spy.

Find suspicious people.
( Internal Affairs )
IA
The internal affairs (United States terminology) refers to a division of a law enforcement agency that investigates incidents and possible suspicions of law-breaking and professional misconduct attributed to officers on the force. Internal affairs can also refer to cases of misconduct and criminal behavior involving police officers. In different systems, internal affairs can go by other names such as "Internal Investigations Division" (usually referred to as 'IID'), "professional standards," "inspectorate general", Office of Professional Responsibility, or similar.
Common Crimes :
All crimes, charges and times are subject to, however not limited to the set amount.

Where you see the ticket price, this is to be a first time offence ticket, if the offence is committed again then jail time must be served.

Severe Felony Offenses
The following crimes are the most severe crimes, suspects with the following crimes are to be jailed for 60 minutes by contacting the FBI. Upon confronting the suspect, be sure to call in reinforcements from the National Guard or Federal Bureau of Investigation.
First/Second Degree Murder of a LEO
-Killing a Law Enforcement Officer(s)
Kidnapping a LEO
-Capturing or detaining a LEO.
First Degree Murder
-Premeditated murder. You must see the murder take place.
Kidnapping
-Capturing or Detaining a Civilian Against their will.
Felony Evasion
-Evading police by committing reckless driving, reckless endangerment and either causing an accident, assaulting police or putting others lives in danger.
Force Matrix
In layman's terms, the force matrix is a tool police officers use to determine the amount of force to use in a situation.
Force Level 1 (Code Green)
- Suspect may be verbally aggressive.- Suspect may be showing aggression in his tone of speaking.- Suspect may be taunting you, or using foul languages.
Your actions-
At this point in time you are to issue verbal warnings or gestures to calm them down.No physical contact may occur.
Force Level 2 (Code Yellow)
- Suspect has committed a crime.- Suspect may be making physical contact.- Suspect may be using a non-lethal weapon.- Suspect may be threatening lives.- Suspect may be involved in a physical fight.
Your actions -
At this time you may use a tazer, pepperspray or a nightstick to detain them. Call aCode 3 backup if necessary. Do not withdraw a firearm.
Force Level 3 ( Code Red )
- Suspect has done or is committing a serious felony crime
-Suspect is in the act of seriously assaulting you or another person to near death
- Suspect has a firearm and is aiming at you or other civilians
- Suspect may be firing the firearm at you or other civilians
- Suspect may be in a car attempting to hit you or other civilians
- Suspect is fleeing in a vehicle after three warnings have been issued
- Suspect has a hostage
Your Actions-
At this point you are allowed to open fire at the suspect and shoot to kill. You are to do your best to avoid these situations but if they occur you are authorized to use deadly force. In regards to the suspect fleeing in a vehicle after you have gave him his ample supply of warnings your partner may shoot out his tires with approval. Once you hit one tire you should not be shooting anymore. You should radio in for code 3 assistance.
Infraction Point System
The Los Santos Police Department has a sub-division named Internal Affairs - The Internal Affairs' job is to investigate every Officer and to make sure everyone obey's the state laws and follows the same rules. The punishments can only come from this list along with the strike offenses. Every Officer upon recruitment into the Los Santos Police Department starts with 0 strikes, they can accumulate up to 5 strikes before they are fired and permanently banned from rejoining the Los Santos Police Department. More than one strike can be given to an Officer at any time. The strike system is final, there is no buts or ifs, no loops.
Punishments
[X] 1 Strike - A warning will be issued and the Officer will be placed on the Internal Affairs watch list. The Officer will then be more closely expected by both undercover and public IA Officers.
[XX] 2 Strikes - A suspension for 2 days will occur and watch on the Officer will increase even more.
[XXX] 3 Strikes - The Officer will be demoted to the next rank down and suspended for 3 days. If the Officer cannot be demoted, then he or she will be fired.
[XXXX] 4 Strikes - The Officer will be automatically demoted to Police Officer I and they will be suspended for 7 days. If the Officer is already a Police Officer I, then he or she will be fired.
[XXXXX] 5 Strikes - Officers with five strikes will be fired permanently. They will be placed on the blacklist and will not be able to ever join the Los Santos Police Department again.
